Euro-zone Crisis, Not a crisis, but a huge Opportunity

It just needs the citizens of Europe to wake up and eliminate the extra layers of government that we can't afford in such austere times. Its a time to stop, collaborate and listen, no ice isn't back with a brand new edition, but with every one under pressure isn't it time to think differently. To challenge the assumption that we're all heading back into recession. A time to question what the EU is all about. Do we really need the EU? We have 27 governments, why can't they work together without an EU body? Just imagine a Europe where we could trade freely, weren't tied down by some bureaucracy or unnecessary rules. Just think how the billions the EU receives could be used to repay some of the national debts. Sounds simple but what do we have to do to make the citizens wake up and smell the coffee? We have 27 different nations and their own cultures. Let's celebrate our differences, not try and all be the same. Let's return to having 27 different currencies. Think of the job creation this should help to cause.

Leap Year - Leap around with Enthusiasm

It occurred to me that Leap Years are usually great fun, so I'm looking forward to 2012 to see what celebrations lie in store.

LIFE, LOVE & LOLLIPOPS

The intelligent madman, Estatic Eddie stalks the Stage of Life upon which we all appear and perform, as artists. Everyone of us is an artist, be they good at their act or bad, each of us is a show person. Away from the shadows of modern life, and for once not performing before my fellow audience, I sat in the meadow like King of the Country upon nature's throne - a stile, the yellow bird was with me as we enjoyed the sunshine, beside a pine, together sharing some blackberry wine. The bees were buzzing, and amidst the breeze of fresh air blowing through my hair I ate my cheese. I fell asleep amongst the sheep, the grass was my pillow. Like a dream, from out of the wood there she stood, my bird of paradise. Dressed in black like my little pussy cat, this girl named Lizzy kinda made me very dizzy. What followed was but a passionate affair which with copulation there was much jubilation. So you understand the meaning of life, and you probably understand the meaning of love, but do you understand the meaning of lollipops?

Beer & Women, Guys & Wine

It’s Saturday night, and so the games begin.

You never know who you are going to meet,

When simply walking, down the street.

As any guy knows,

Life ain’t much, without beer and women.

Some think of it as a curse, I say it’s far worse.

.

Now, look over there, wow that’s a fine nurse.

Great legs and my, what a perfect chest.

Another pint mate, but don’t make us late,

I’m off in a bit, for I got this great date,

With this red headed one, man she is so much fun.

Drinking her wine, she plots her crime,

Like all the rest, she’ll put him to the test.

If he wins, he’ll do more than grin,

If he fails, well he’ll just be another male, enjoying his ale,

And on the look out for more great legs, and perfect chests.

Fancy lines are a waste of time,

Women aren’t impressed,

and will leave you like a ship in distress.

Trying too hard, just won’t get you far

But just why do we spend all this time dating?

When we all know, we’d rather be mating.

Not to be forgotten

No more children lying in the street,

No more hunger nor suffering from starvation,

Together, the world united as one nation.

Instead of lives full of greed,

We are able to ensure all lives may feed.

An end to this bleeding,

No more children needing.

Every three seconds, another death beacons.

We can go to war over oil and fight,

Yet we seemed to have ignored those on African soil and their plight.

As Bob alerted us back in ‘85,

This just ain’t fair and surely we all do care.

Here in 2005 again we still face this shame,

Hopefully the leaders remember their promise to put things right,

Sufferings continue night after night.

This poverty must come to an end,

Giving them aid and plenty of free trade.

This is what our friends deserve.

Many lives have been lost,

Many more will continue in this sad vain,

We have a choice, and most of us speak with one voice.

The humanity I’m watching on my screen,

Tells me it’s time for a real change.

This poverty and sickness must come to an end.

Let us make this curse become dispersed,

And ensure they’re not to be forgotten,

Since in the end it’s on us they all depend.
